Frequently asked questions
Are woodland sessions suitable for all ages?
Yes! We adapt activities for kids, teens, adults, and mixed-age groups. Everyone’s welcome to get stuck in.
What should we wear or bring?
Dress for the weather – layers, waterproofs, and shoes you don’t mind getting muddy. A spare change of clothes and a snack is always a good shout!
What happens in bad weather?
We go ahead in most conditions – a bit of rain adds to the fun! If weather is unsafe (like high winds), we’ll reschedule or offer an alternative.
Can parents stay during kids’ sessions?
For younger age groups, parents are welcome to stay nearby or join in, depending on the session. Just ask when booking!
Can you accommodate groups with additional needs?
Yes – we aim to make our sessions as inclusive as possible. If you or someone in your group has specific needs, just let us know when booking and we’ll do our best to adapt and support you.
Do you offer sessions for schools or groups?
Yes – we run forest school-style programs and tailored sessions for schools, youth groups, and organisations. Get in touch to chat through options.
Are the woodland sessions educational?
Definitely – but in a fun, hands-on way! Kids learn through play, discovery, and doing, with links to nature, wellbeing, and outdoor skills.
Are there toilet facilities?
This depends on the location – we’ll let you know what’s available when you book. For wilder spots, we follow Leave No Trace principles or use of portable toilets.
Where are the woodland sessions held?
Our primary location for woodland adventures is Belleek Woods in Ballina and woodlands in the northwest of Ireland. Exact locations will be provided upon booking.
